How often can you say that the CEO of a marketing/advertising firm becomes a social media icon? Personally, I can only think of one: Gary Vaynerchuck. This guy has made a career out of giving no nonsence advice on building and promoting businesses. So, today I want to share with you what I think is possibly his most important and often overlooked piece of advice:
It goes without saying that you should always be looking for ways to provide others with value, (in life too, not just business).
It seems like a simple thing. Most people read that sentence and think "of course." But there is actually a considerable amount of depth to what he is saying. He insinuates a lot valuable principles, two of which I'm goign to highlight right now:
- Never assume you have things dialed. Always be looking for ways to improve.
- Think like your audience, not like a business. Provide things that people truly value -- not what you think they should value.
That's what we intend with this short bit of text today: to provide value to you beyond just flyers. Going forward, we're going to start digging into some of the best marketing, sales, business and life advice out there and sharing little tidbits with you every Thursday. We'll keep them concise for time sake; just little sparks to get you thinking and hopefully to help you get to the next level. We hope they bring you true value.
